Books bought more than once

My most reliable "must-read" list

I think that "books bought more than once" might be the best proxy for books that have touched me the most. This is why I think that this list might just be the most reliable "must-read" list that I can give you.

There are two reasons why I may buy a book more than once:

  1. To get a physical, hard copy
I prefer to do my regular reading on a Kindle than an actual, physical book. I find it more comfortable and less cumbersome. But every once a while, I read a book that I love so much that I feel the need to get a physical copy to crave my lust.
  2. To gift it to friends and family
Books are the best investments. I believe that if you can get someone the right book that can change their unique way of thinking - it's the best gift you can give.

Here are the books that I have bought more than once:

  • How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big by Scott Adams
Reason - to get a physical, hard copy
I regularly think about the lessons from this book. A lot of them have changed my way of looking at things in life.
  • The Everything Store by Brad Stone
Reason - to gift it to a friend
What is being "customer-focused" right? How long-term can a vision get? These are things that can be deeply understood by reading the story of Jeff Bezos and how he is building Amazon.
  • Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari
Reason - to gift it to a friend
This book has shaped my thinking more than any other book I've ever read.
